Sharpening Math and Reading Skills.....leads to a new opportunity!

Rosa Guitron-Galvan met with John, a Workforce Specialist at WorkSource Clackamas's Workforce Program to discuss looking for work. John registered Rosa in our Workforce Program and immediately got her enrolled in our no-cost workshops to assist Rosa with developing a current resume and cover letter. She also attended our Workplace Math workshop to sharpen her math skills. Rosa initally was very insecure about her reading and English skills.  With some determination Rosa completed three ESL (English Language Classes) and applied for a internship with the Oregon Employment Department /WorkSource Clackamas all with the assistance of the Workforce Program in Clackamas County. Rosa  is now currently a Business & employment Specialist at WorkSource Clackamas in Oregon City, serving the community in which she lives in.
